Does Oppo Halloween? Much fun at my house, much candy given.

I had one (1!) group of trick or treaters last night. It was getting on 9 o’clock so I showed them the bowl of candy and told them to take as much as they wanted. They probably could have been done for the night after that.

I had one kid. I gave her the whole bowl. Her face made up for the fact that I wasted $8 on candy

You went all out! I hopefully will be able to do that in a couple years too.

Sadly, I had one kid. All day and night. Usually it’s like 8 kids but 1 was just ridiculous.

I dumped the whole bowl into her pillowcase. I made her night. It was worth the $8 on candy

Our street is typically like a slightly-less-destructive riot.

Our ToT was Saturday night, and I’d bet we had 250-300. Our neighborhood is in a suburb of a bigger city, and has lots of old houses on probably less than 1/8th acre lots. There are lots of young families. Usually a little over halfway though, kids start showing up from the city. It gets pretty crazy.

We went through 3 huge bowls of candy, and I called it 10 minutes early. The little jerks were NOT cutting into my stash...

Halloween is probably (definitely) my favorite holiday. But, I don’t decorate for it, and I don’t give out candy.

Why, you might ask? Because I have 4 dogs, one of which is reactive. I can’t see decorating only to not participate in halloween. The only “decorating” I do is hanging a few big “NO CANDY” signs on my front porch and mailbox.

I also don’t decorate because I’m a lazy SOB. I don’t want to have to take it down when it’s all done. I don’t decorate for any holiday, indoors or out. I’m also cheap and don’t want to pay for the electricity to use lights. I’m a regular stick in the mud.
